Advocate Health is seeking a patient care assistant to support nursing staff in a busy hospital unit. You will help with bathing, feeding, positioning, and transfers, while recording vitals and patient data in the EMR system.

The role requires basic computer skills, strong communication, and the ability to work as part of a team. A GED/HSED or high school diploma is required; BLS and Nurse Aide certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Maintains annual education requirements for hospital certifications.

Responsabilités

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and ambulation.
• Measure and document vitals and intake/output in EMR.
• Perform patient transfers with proper technique and assistance from RN.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Complete specimen collection and basic point-of-care testing as directed.
