This role requires a high school diploma or GED and strong interpersonal skills. You may work with a multidisciplinary team on a fast-paced unit, adhering to safety protocols and care plans.

• Basic reading skills needed for documentation and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure, safe environment and continuously monitor patients.
• Never leave a patient unattended and accompany patients as needed.
• Follow policies for safety precautions and emergency plans.
• Provide general patient care tasks as directed by the RN.
• Assist with feeding, meals, and dietary needs on the floor.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate respectfully with patients and families.
• Document patient information and communicate changes to the RN.
• Act as patient/family advocate and assist orientation to the care setting.
• Respond to call lights and support unit operations; assist with lifting when required.
