Job summary

Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Vernon, CT is seeking a Charg e Nurse for weekends on our Baylor unit. This full-time role offers a unique schedule: you work 24 hours but are paid for 32 hours every weekend, supporting residents with compassionate, patient-centered care.

You will supervise care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, assist with medications and treatments, and help maintain accurate records while focusing on quality and safety in a 120-bed skilled nursing

Qualifications

• LPN or RN license in Connecticut
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate care on weekend Baylor unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop care plans
• Provide direct patient care including medications, treatments, and procedures
• Monitor resident condition and report changes to physicians
• Maintain accurate records of resident care and treatment plans
• Participate in quality improvement and policy development
• Demonstrate strong communication and customer service
