Job summary

Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Vernon, CT is seeking a Charg e Nurse for weekends on our Baylor unit. This full-time role offers a unique schedule: you work 24 hours but are paid for 32 hours every weekend, supporting residents with compassionate, patient-centered care.

You will supervise care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, assist with medications and treatments, and help maintain accurate records while focusing on quality and safety in a 120-bed skilled nursing

Qualifications

• LPN or RN license in Connecticut
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation setting preferred

Charge Nurse (Weekends Only) - Vernon, CT

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our weekend Baylor team at Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a 120-bed skilled nursing center in Vernon, Connecticut. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our residents while maintaining a safe and engaging environment. This is a full-time position with a unique schedule, working 24 hours and getting paid for 32 hours every weekend.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the care of residents on a weekend Baylor unit, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide direct patient care and assist with medication administration, treatments, and procedures
• Monitor and report any changes in resident condition to the primary care physician and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and treatment plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, providing exceptional customer service to residents, families, and colleagues
