Job summary

Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell, Montana, is seeking a Weekend Shift Leader RN for a 12-hour weekend day shift (part‑time – 24 hours). You will provide comprehensive patient-centered nursing care, lead nursing staff, and ensure high-quality outcomes within a collaborative team setting.

The role requires Montana RN licensure (or multi-state compact), BLS/RQI certification within 7 days, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice in Montana.
• RQI Provider (BLS) certification within seven days of hire.
• Strong knowledge of professional nursing practice, patient assessment, medical terminology, and evidence-based patient care.
• Ability to effectively prioritize, delegate, and lead in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable healthcare regulations.
• Preferred: BSN degree.
• Preferred: 2+ years nursing experience in acute care, clinic, physician office, or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation utilizing the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care activities while serving as a clinical leader and resource for nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Promote a collaborative team environment by supporting, mentoring, and assisting team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Respond to changing patient conditions by prioritizing care, making sound clinical decisions, and coordinating appropriate interventions.
• Accurately implement provider orders, administer treatments, and ensure timely, thorough documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
• Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, infection prevention, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, medications, and discharge planning as appropriate.
• Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and clinical excellence while supporting Logan Health's mission, vision, and values.
