Job summary

AdventHealth in Merriam, KS is seeking a Charge Nurse for Labor and Delivery Weekend Work Program. This part-time, day-shift role coordinates care across units and leads the nursing team to deliver high‑quality maternal care.

You will develop individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe, efficient delivery services and patient education.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing and ongoing education.
• Ability to assess and revise care plans in acute settings.
• Supervisory experience and staff guidance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care across PACU, inpatient units, Radiology and anesthesia.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessments.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists and providers for coordinated care.
• Manage daily schedules and staffing to ensure patient safety.
• Prioritize needs by acuity and provide timely care.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and health management.
• Respond to emergencies and stabilize patients.
• Participate in quality improvement and unit operations.
