Job summary

Visiting Angels Greenville & Anderson, SC is seeking In Home Aides (CNAs and experienced caregivers) in Charleston County. We provide personal one-on-one care to clients at home, with part-time shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and overnights.

No CNA license required; we offer in-house training, flexible schedules and a family environment across Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties. Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• One year in-home caregiver experience preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate with families.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Medication reminders.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare light meals according to dietary needs.
• Transportation to appointments.
• Light housekeeping tasks for the client.
• Provide a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening

• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
