Job summary

Open Arms Solutions is seeking experienced caregivers for weekend and PRN shifts in Downtown Chicago to support seniors in their homes. This role offers flexible scheduling, weekend availability, and a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients.

Responsibilities include non-medical caregiving, personal care, mobility support, meal prep, companionship, reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation. Experience as a caregiver is welcome; travel to client homes is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience within the past 2 years.
• Experience in senior care, home care, private duty, assisted living, or a similar setting.
• Reliable transportation to client assignments.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screenings.
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional approach to caregiving.
• Experience as a Caregiver, CNA, HHA, DSP, or Personal Care Assistant is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Helping seniors remain safe, comfortable, and supported at home through non-medical caregiving services.
• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Supporting mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Preparing meals and encouraging hydration.
• Providing companionship and meaningful conversation.
• Offering medication reminders.
• Performing light housekeeping and laundry related to client care.
• Providing transportation or accompanying clients when needed.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in a client's condition.
