Job summary

McKenney Home Care is seeking dependable weekend caregivers, HHAs and CNAs to provide one-on-one care in private homes through our Venice office, serving Sarasota and Charlotte County. Weekend schedules are flexible to match availability and experience, offering meaningful in-home care opportunities.

We are a family-owned agency with 24/7 office and nursing support, enabling caregivers to find consistent weekend shifts and longer 12-hour opportunities where available.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Current hands-on CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Current TB test, or willingness to obtain.
• Level 2 AHCA background screening, or willingness to complete: https://info.flclearinghouse.com

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and safe mobility
• Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Assist with meal preparation, hydration, and medication reminders
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, errands, and maintaining a safe home environment
• Follow each client’s individualized care plan and complete required documentation
• Observe and communicate changes or concerns to the office team

McKenney Home Care is a family-owned private-duty home care agency serving Sarasota and Charlotte County. Through our Venice office, we are looking for dependable Caregivers, HHAs, and CNAs for weekend opportunities that match their availability, experience, and comfort level.

What’s Available

Weekend needs vary by client and may include:

• Morning shifts such as 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, or 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Short or split shifts, including 2–3 hour AM or PM visits
• Standard 4–6 hour shifts
• Extended 7–12 hour day or overnight shifts
• 12-hour day and overnight shifts, which are frequently available
• Opportunities for consistent, ongoing assignments
