Job summary

McKenney Home Care in South Florida is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide private-duty home care services. You will assist with ADLs, monitor health, and follow care plans in clients' homes.

Flexible schedules include morning, afternoon, or overnight shifts; opportunities for part-time, full-time, and PRN work. Training and advancement opportunities are offered with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• CPR certification is required.
• Professionalism, strong communication, and reliable scheduling are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility.
• Provide medication reminders and basic health monitoring; report changes promptly.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding per Care Plan; follow dietary restrictions.
• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, tidying).
• Offer companionship and engage in indoor/outdoor activities and outings.
• Complete accurate documentation using the WellSky app.
• Provide safe, reliable transportation for errands or appointments
• Follow care plans and supervisor or nurse instructions.

Job Type:

• Full-Time

Typical Schedule Availability:

McKenney offers flexible schedules designed to fit your lifestyle and availability:

• Part-Time Morning Shifts: 8am-12pm, 9am-1pm, 10am-2pm (great for retirees or parents during school hours)
• Short or Split Shifts: 2-3-hour AM/PM options
• Average Shifts: 4-6-hour AM/PM options
• Extended Shifts: 7-12-hour day or overnight shifts (high demand for 12-hour shift Caregivers)

Private duty home care cannot guarantee hours, and schedules change frequently

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License, Auto Insurance, and Reliable Transportation
• AHCA Level 2 background check (or willingness to obtain) https://info.flclearinghouse.com
• CPR certification (in-person required)
• TB test (PPD or lab within 6 months) or chest X-ray within 5 years (or willingness to obtain)
• Professionalism, strong communication and documentation skills, and consistent reliability
