Job summary

Wellhaven Home Care Charleston is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to support seniors and adults in private homes or facility settings. You will assist with daily living tasks, monitor health, provide companionship, and help clients live with dignity and independence.

Starting pay is $16.50 per hour with 12–36 hours per week. We offer flexible scheduling, weekly pay, paid orientation and training, plus a supportive team and caregiver recognition.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving experience is required.
• Dementia and long-term care experience a plus.
• Physically able to assist with hands-on care and mobility.
• Reliable, compassionate, and communicative.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Follow individualized care plans and monitor client health.
• Provide medication reminders and support.
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement.
• Ensure safety through mobility assistance and proper transfers.
• Assist with meal prep and nutritional support.
• Document care accurately and report changes to the office.
• Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and staff.
