Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Weekend On-Call Coordinator to support clients, families, and caregivers in the St. Louis and Jefferson Counties. This part-time role involves coordinating on-call activities, reviewing weekend schedules, and traveling to client homes as needed.

You will monitor caregiver attendance, fill shifts, and respond to urgent situations while ensuring continuity of care when the office is closed. Reliable transportation is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in healthcare scheduling, home care, customer service, or admin preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and urgent situations.
• Proficient with computers, scheduling software, email and phone systems.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; travel across the service area.

Responsibilities

• Review Friday handoff and stay informed about weekend schedules and priorities.
• Monitor caregiver attendance and respond to missed clock-ins and schedule changes.
• Contact caregivers to fill shifts and confirm assignments; update clients and families.
• Answer questions and respond professionally to concerns from clients, families, and caregivers.
• Follow emergency procedures and escalate urgent or unresolved issues.
• Contact new referrals promptly and communicate next steps to the weekday team.
• Complete in-home caregiver introductions and review care plans and expectations.
• Follow backup coverage processes when staffing is exhausted; provide skilled personal care as needed.
• Document communications and scheduling efforts in AxisCare.
• Submit a weekend recap by Sunday 10:00 PM and Monday handoff by 9:00 AM with overnight updates.
