Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with up to 1 year of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.
• Strong professional communication skills applied internally and externally.
• Proven experience in establishing and maintaining healthy working relationships.
• Experience in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with carriers for optimal purchase rate to meet revenue and margin goals.
• Act as liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers.
• Manage freight in transit with carrier updates to monitor movement and ensure on-time pickup/delivery.
• Utilize Carrier360 to tender loads and maintain records of shipments and customer details.
• Proactively communicate service issues to internal teams to minimize costs and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with teams to promote best-in-class service and safety.
• Verify authenticity of carriers and tracking prior to pickup.
• Stay informed on market trends to optimize negotiation tactics.
