Job summary

rms Company, part of the Cretex Medical family, is seeking a Brake Press Operator. You will plan, lay out, and perform sheet metal operations to fabricate parts with close tolerances on a weekend shift.

You’ll read blueprints, set up machines, use hand tools and measuring devices, document production in the ERP, and collaborate with sales, engineering, quality and finance while maintaining 5S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of brake press setup experience.
• Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions and SOPs.
• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Ability to take direction from the area manager.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up sheet metal machines to bend, cut or form parts.
• Use sheet metal hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Perform shop mathematics at an intermediate level.
• Read and understand blueprints at an intermediate level.
• Enter production information into the ERP system in a timely basis.
• Accurately record and report hours worked.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE when required.
• Support quality system, ISO and medical device requirements.
• Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
• Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly.
• Participate in required company meetings.
• Maintain an organized work area (5S).
• Participate in Operational Excellence Program.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
