Job summary

Zarephath in Arizona is seeking a Youth Enrichment Specialist to support families and children navigating behavioral health challenges. You’ll mentor youth aged 1–17 on weekends, build confidence, teach life skills, and create positive memories in community and residential settings.

You’ll work across 6 residential houses in Mesa and Apache Junction, focusing on safety, growth, and therapeutic support. Must be 21+, have 1 year of youth-focused experience, a valid AZ driver’s license, and

• Must be 21+ years old (for agency vehicle operation).
• 1 year of experience in youth-focused behavioral health.
• Valid AZ Driver's License.
• Clearances: Fingerprint Card, CPR/First Aid, and TB test results.
• Tech skills: Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Mentor youth ages 1–17 on weekends (Friday afternoon through Sunday).
• Lead community outings to parks, museums, and cultural events.
• Support development of social skills and personal growth.

Youth Enrichment Specialist

Our Community Presence

We operate 6 dedicated residential houses across Mesa and Apache Junction. These homes serve as the "hub" for our youth—safe, supportive environments where healing and growth happen every day. You'll be a key part of the team keeping these houses vibrant and therapeutic.

Your Weekend Mission

You’ll spend your weekends (Friday afternoon through Sunday) mentoring youth ages 1–17. This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be out in the community and in residential settings, helping kids hit their goals through:

• Adventures: Leading community outings to parks, museums, and cultural events.
• Growth: Working side‑by‑side with youth on social skills and personal development.
• Safety & Support: Providing a stable, therapeutic environment where kids feel seen and heard.

The Schedule

• Friday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

What You’ll Need to Join Us

• 21+ Years Old (for agency vehicle operation)
• 1 Year Experience in youth-focused behavioral health
• Valid AZ Driver’s License
