Job summary
West Star Aviation in East Alton, IL is seeking a Lead Avionics Install Technician for the weekend shift. You will lead a team of technicians, oversee installation work, and ensure high-quality, compliant results with strong aircraft electrical system knowledge.
The role requires extensive avionics installation experience, ability to troubleshoot complex systems, and effective supervision of multiple projects. On-site work with FAA processes and direct customer contact is expected.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of avionics installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance experience.
- 2+ years of corporate aircraft experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Corridor systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate installation projects including parts and outside services requests, manpower planning and supervision.
- Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems before and after modification.
- Inspect aircraft and components when required.
- Aircraft movement and system verifications.
- Process work orders for return-to-service and pricing to customers.
- Provide ground test and flight test support as needed.
