Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Weekend Shift Aircraft Maintenance Technician in East Alton, IL. You will perform mechanical work on aircraft, troubleshoot systems, and support maintenance operations from a hangar in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a valid driver’s license ideal.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required; airframe license preferred.
• 0–2 years aviation maintenance experience for AMT I; more for higher levels.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance data bases and manuals.
• Must communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components.
• Assist with engine removal/installation.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
