Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Avionics Repair Technician in East Alton, IL, to troubleshoot and repair avionics units to the component level and support aircraft systems.

The role requires hands-on work, panel removal/installation, and collaboration with customers on pricing and project needs. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent, with electronics or avionics training preferred; a valid driver’s license or passport is ideal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and/or valid passport is ideal but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair avionics units to component level (Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio, Autopilot).
• Perform removal and installation of panels and components; repair work as needed.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and verify aircraft systems; ensure proper documentation and communication with customers.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling; support operations with equipment and processes.
• Communicate effectively in English with customers and team members.
