Job summary

SPX Technologies, within the Electric Heat division, seeks an assembler to build heater unit product codes and fabricate components per work order and engineering specs. The role supports a range of baseboard, wall, unit, and infrared heaters for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

The successful candidate will read blueprints, assemble per instructions, and collaborate with engineering for problem resolution.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• Comfort with manual fabrication, assembly and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagrams for electrical installations per wiring specs.
• Drills and taps holes for mounting control units.
• Wires breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars and transformers.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and options.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production orders with supervision.

Education
