Job summary

Saab Aeronautics Indiana LLC in West Lafayette, IN, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a skilled team building the aft fuselage of the U.S. Air Force’s T-7A Red Hawk.

You’ll shape how work gets done, develop people, improve processes, and build a high-performance manufacturing operation on the weekend shift (6am-6:30pm Fri–Sun). You will work with the Production Manager, engineers, and support teams to ensure safe, efficient production with high quality, while coaching staff, driving

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory/people leadership experience in aerospace
• AS9100 or ISO environment experience
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience using MES and ERP systems
• Ability to collaborate across departments and drive business objectives
• Lead by example and build positive work relationships
• Ability to meet customer timelines with flexible/extended schedules
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations for aero-structure manufacturing and meet daily goals (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale)
• Coach, mentor, train and provide performance feedback to the team
• Create accountability and ownership of KPIs, quality, and business goals
• Champion safety and quality, ensuring adherence to processes and tool control
• Monitor production performance and deploy recovery/contingency plans to keep the master schedule
• Drive continuous improvement to eliminate waste and improve efficiency
• Collaborate across management, engineering, quality, and support functions to maintain flow
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of new team members
• Maintain a clean, high-performing work environment via Saab’s 6S program
