Job summary

Wathenahrc is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director by assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing activity and recreational services that address the needs and interests of the patient population.

This role includes developing and delivering programs, encouraging participation in group and individual activities such as arts and crafts, outings, and educational activities, and performing miscellaneous duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with recreation coursework is desirable.
• State approved activity-training course is preferred but not required.
• Experience leading recreational activities is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and delivering activity/recreational programs to engage patients.
• Promote opportunities for participation in arts/crafts, outings, and educational activities.
• Encourage group and individual activities and address patient needs.
• Perform miscellaneous work assignments as required.
