Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning, organizing, developing, and directing quality activities for patients, ensuring that the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each patient are met in accordance with Life Care standards. Weekend availability is required.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and adherence to company policies, with responsibilities including charting progress

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with geriatrics preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate quality activity programs for patients.
• Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Make in-room visits to patients uninterested or unable to participate in group activities.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Use reasoning and good judgment.
• Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
