Job summary

AA Healthcare Management is seeking an Activity Aide to support residents with a balanced daily activity program. You will work under the Activity Director to plan and run programs that address residents’ diverse needs in age, ability, and interests.

The role emphasizes one-to-one visits, group activities, and coordination of daily materials, with weekend involvement and opportunities to lead various programs across different floors and spaces.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible for weekends
• Warm and congenial personality required
• Artistic and creative traits are a plus
• High school diploma preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one daily visitation to residents in the One-to-One program
• Select and coordinate activities like crafts, games, service projects, and cognitive activities
• Lead various group activities on different floors and in the central activity room
• Offer a mix of recreational, intellectual, religious and community programs
• Lead daily or individual exercises as appropriate when group sessions aren’t possible
• Coordinate evening and weekend programs under the Activity Director
• Record daily resident participation and progress in charts
• Attend in-service classes and workshops as scheduled
• Orient new residents to activity opportunities
• Assist in monthly activity schedule formation and evaluation
• Prepare materials and supplies for daily programs and arrange for future needs
• Coordinate goals and schedules with other departments
