Alpine Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to join our weekend team. You will plan and run engaging activities to promote residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being, coordinating with the Activities Director.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma, weekend availability, and strong communication. You’ll lead group and one-on-one activities, maintain records, and help orient new staff in a friendly, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; recreation degree preferred.
• Ability to work weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, and social events for residents
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop activity programs that meet residents’ interests and needs
• Assist with resident assessments to identify interests and abilities, and tailor activities to meet their needs
• Lead and participate in activities with residents, including one‑on‑one and group activities
• Maintain accurate records and reports of activities, including resident participation and feedback
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and engaging environment
• Support and assist with orientation and training of new staff members
