Job summary

Alpine Healthcare Center in Keene, NH is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to plan and lead engaging weekend activities that promote residents' physical, emotional, and social well‑being.

This part‑time role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the stamina to support activities on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays within a supportive care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; recreation degree preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, including Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, and social events for residents.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement activity programs that meet residents' interests and needs.
• Assist with resident assessments to identify interests and abilities, tailoring activities accordingly.
• Lead and participate in activities with residents, including one-on-one and group activities.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of activities, including participation and feedback.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive environment.
• Support and assist with orientation and training of new staff members.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team at Alpine Healthcare Center. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities, social events, and programs to promote their physical, emotional, and social well‑being. This is a part‑time, weekend position.
