Aerotek is immediately hiring a PM lay up & press operator in Newport, WA. This is a full-time, long-term, on-site contract in a manufacturing setting, focusing on lay up, pressing, and assembling aircraft panels.

You will operate presses, CNCs, saws, load materials, perform basic quality checks, and complete work orders. Safety, attention to detail, and ability to use hand and power tools are required; forklift experience is a plus.

Competenze

• Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Experience operating machines in a production setting.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Basic inspection and measurement skills.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• CNC, saw, or press machine experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cut, and kit materials for production
• Lay up and press aircraft interior and exterior panels
• Load and unload materials from press machines
• Operate presses, saws, and CNC equipment
• Use hand and power tools for assembly and finishing tasks
• Perform quality inspections and basic measurements
• Complete production paperwork and work orders
• Support material handling and general production duties
• Operate a forklift when trained and authorized
• Follow all safety and quality standards

Qualifications:

• Manufacturing, production, assembly, or general labor experience
• Experience operating machines in a production environment
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Basic inspection and measuring skills
• Forklift experience is a plus
• CNC, saw, or press machine experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to cross-train and work in different departments
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Newport, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
