Job summary

USPI El Paso Center for Gastro & Endo is seeking a motivated Patient Access Representative to join our team. The facility operates with 1 OR room and 3 treatment rooms, performing outpatient gastroenterology procedures.

Position requires weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or on-call obligations; some early mornings or later evenings may be required depending on the surgical schedule. Responsibilities include pre-registering patients, collecting demographics and insurance information,

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Experience in patient registration, verification and authorization in a medical center or comparable institution preferred.
• Ability to type 40 WPM and enter data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Pre-register 98% of scheduled patients at least three business days before arrival.
• Obtain and enter patient demographics and insurance information with high accuracy.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and coordinate pre-authorizations as needed.
• Maintain privacy in accordance with HIPAA and handle complaints professionally.
• Log cash, receipts and meet monthly cash collection goals.
