Job summary

BlueLinx is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator at our distribution center in the United States. You will operate forklift, load/unload, store materials, and prepare distribution paperwork in a safety‑driven team environment.

The position offers a fixed wage of $24.75 per hour, a Monday–Friday schedule, comprehensive benefits starting the first day, PTO and holidays, and opportunities to advance within a leading distributor of building products.

Qualifications

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products.
• Ability to read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
• Safe work record and stable work history.
• Ability to work independently at times under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.
• Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.
