Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a dedicated Material Handler/Forklift Operator for our distribution center in the United States. This role offers a fixed wage and a Monday–Friday schedule, with comprehensive benefits and a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift, loading/unloading materials, handling paperwork, and participating in inventory counts. The ideal candidate has 1 year of forklift/warehouse experience and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Qualifications

• One year or more forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks.
• Ability to read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.
• Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.
