Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our distribution center team in the United States. The role emphasizes safe forklift operation, loading and unloading building materials, and accurate shipping paperwork.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift to transport products and load/unload trucks.
• Ability to read and comprehend sales orders, purchase orders and safety materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars with minimal damage.
• Prepare paperwork for distribution and shipping of products.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts as requested.
