Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Operator in the United States. The role requires operating a forklift, loading and unloading building materials, and maintaining safety and accuracy in daily distribution tasks.

The position offers a fixed hourly wage with a standard Monday–Friday schedule and a strong benefits package. Qualifications include 1 year of forklift/warehouse experience, ability to read orders, and a history of safe work practices.

Qualifications

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to work independently at times under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimising damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.
• Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.
