Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. is seeking a dedicated Material Handler/Forklift Operator for our distribution center. You will operate a forklift, move building materials, prepare shipping paperwork, and participate in inventory checks in a safety‑minded, team environment.

The role offers a fixed wage of $20.09 per hour, a Monday–Friday schedule, comprehensive benefits, and PTO with holidays. Candidates should have warehouse experience and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend sales orders and safety data.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform manual tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick or bulk).
• Prepare distribution/shipping paperwork.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist with periodic inventory counts as needed.
