Job summary

Sodexo Group in Kuna, Idaho is seeking a Cook to accurately prepare and present a variety of hot and cold dishes for all meals and events, following our culinary standards for quality, presentation, and food safety. You will follow recipes, manage portioning, keep accurate records, and support kitchen teamwork

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards to ensure high-quality food service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other items.
• Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, and check production and supplies.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Attend work on schedule and be punctual.
