Down To Earth Cuisine in San Diego is seeking an experienced personal chef for a Monday–Friday daytime schedule (8 AM–6 PM), offering 15–25 hours per week. You will design weekly menus, shop for ingredients at local markets, and cook meals in clients' homes, leaving kitchens clean and reporting progress.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of professional cooking experience (3–4 years with strong training), formal culinary training, and excellent client-facing communication.

• Ability to adapt to different kitchens, schedules, and client preferences.
• Genuine interest in sustainable sourcing and practices.
• Availability 15–25 hours per week, primarily 8 AM–6 PM weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Design custom weekly menus based on dietary needs and preferences.
• Shop for fresh ingredients at local markets.
• Cook a week's worth of meals directly in the client's home kitchen.
• Leave every kitchen as clean as you found it.
• Submit a short daily job report and join periodic virtual team check-ins.
