Newport Harbor Island Resort is seeking a dynamic Wedding and Special Events Manager in Newport, Rhode Island. You will lead all aspects of weddings and events, guiding clients from inquiry through execution in a luxurious resort setting.

Responsibilities include budgeting, timelines, vendor coordination, and ensuring flawless guest experiences. A bachelor's degree and proven events experience are preferred; the role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in wedding and special events planning and execution.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of weddings and special events from inquiry to execution.
• Collaborate with clients to understand vision, preferences, and budget.
• Conduct site visits and provide guidance on setup, decor, and design.
• Create detailed event timelines and manage budgets.
• Coordinate with catering, banquet, audiovisual, and other departments.
• Oversee event setup including seating, decor, and AV requirements.
• Supervise event staff and external vendors.
• Serve as main point of contact for clients during planning and on event day.
