Newport Harbor Island Resort in Newport, Rhode Island, seeks a dynamic Wedding and Special Events Manager to plan and execute weddings and events from inquiry to day-of execution.

You will partner with clients to capture vision and budget, create timelines, manage vendors, oversee setup and staffing, and ensure flawless guest experiences in a luxury resort setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in wedding and special events planning and execution.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of weddings and special events, from initial inquiry to event execution.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget.
• Conduct site visits and provide guidance on event setup, decor, and design.
• Create detailed event timelines and manage event budgets.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless execution of events.
• Oversee event setup, including seating arrangements, decor, and audiovisual requirements.
• Supervise event staff and external vendors to ensure exceptional service and adherence to event timelines.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning process and on the event day.
