Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a WebAPI Developer for a 6+ month contract role in Saint Louis, MO. The position focuses on designing, developing, and deploying robust web applications and API services, adhering to established architecture standards and best practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams through the software development lifecycle, participate in code reviews, optimize performance, and mentor junior developers.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring MVC.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a WebAPI Developer.

Position Type: Full-Time, Contract

Duration: 6+ months

Location: Saint Louis Missouri 63131

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust web applications and API services.
• Develop software following established architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Collaborate with development teams throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and peer review activities to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance.
• Mentor and support junior developers within the team.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring MVC.
• Solid understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and continuous integration tools.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience using Git version control.
• Hands‑on experience with Java 8/11.
• Experience with Maven for build and dependency management.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud‑native development practices.
• Experience working with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: $55-$60 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
