Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to help test web and mobile applications throughout the software development lifecycle. You'll collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Agile teams to ensure new functionality works as expected and existing features remain reliable.

Responsibilities include executing manual test cases, performing regression and exploratory testing, and building test cases to improve coverage.

Qualifications

2+ years testing web-based software applications.
Strong manual testing experience.
Experience with structured testing methodologies.
Working knowledge of the SDLC and Agile.
SQL experience with extracting, modifying, and adding data to SQL Server.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and communication.
Ability to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Execute manual test cases for new and existing application functionality.
Perform regression, functional, exploratory, and ad-hoc testing.
Build test cases designed to increase regression and feature coverage.
Create testing data using SQL Server databases.
Document testing results and report defects clearly.
Work with development teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Review application logs to assist with troubleshooting.
Configure testing systems and support software deployments.
Evaluate existing test cases and identify gaps in coverage.
Provide QA feedback during Agile ceremonies and project discussions.
Monitor testing progress against project timelines.
Maintain high-quality documentation for test cases, defects, and testing results.
