Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented QA professional to support software and mobile application testing efforts. You will contribute to test planning, execution, defect management, and validation across the development lifecycle.

You will develop and execute manual test cases, perform various testing types, validate APIs with Postman, and ensure data integrity with SQL. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to Agile ceremonies are required.

Qualifications

• Experience testing web-based and mobile applications.
• Strong manual testing experience.
• API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience with SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute manual test cases and scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and mobile testing.
• Validate APIs and system integrations using Postman.
• Document, track, and verify defects through resolution.
• Create and manage test data required for testing activities.
• Validate backend data and application functionality using SQL.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Analyze existing test coverage and identify gaps or improvements.
• Ensure high-quality releases that meet business and user requirements.
