Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a Software Engineer II, Web to build and maintain customer-facing web experiences on Starbucks.com and Starbucks.ca, including order & pay, gifting, account management, and the content-managed marketing site. You’ll work with a JavaScript/TypeScript stack spanning React/Redux, Node.js, Next.js and SvelteKit.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience building production web applications.
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React, Redux, Node.js/Express, Next.js; familiarity with SvelteKit.
• Experience with component-based UI architecture, RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and CSS (CSS Modules or Tailwind).
• Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility, semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, and accessible forms.
• Experience with unit/integration testing (Vitest) and Git/GitHub workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across our web applications, integrating with GraphQL and REST/OpenAPI backend services.
• Write well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews, following team conventions for state management, routing, and component architecture.
• Partner with design, product, QA and other engineers to troubleshoot issues, debug production incidents, and improve performance and reliability.
