What We’ll Call You:

What We’re Seeking:

5280 Brands is looking for a talented and analytical Web Developer & Strategist to build, optimize, and scale the digital storefronts behind our growing family of wellness brands: R&R CBD, Summit, Orinoco (launching Q3 2025), and two additional brands. This role is ideal for a hands-on builder with a growth mindset—someone equally comfortable coding Shopify websites and making data-driven decisions to improve performance across the funnel.

You’ll lead the development of three new Shopify e-commerce websites over the next several months, while also managing and updating our two existing websites. You’ll take full ownership of technical implementation, content management, and landing page creation for advertising funnels across all brands. But just as importantly, you’ll bring a strategic lens to your work: analyzing heatmaps, bounce rates, user sessions, and conversion data to drive continuous optimization of the customer journey.

This role reports directly to our Retention Marketing Director and will play a critical role in our broader revenue strategy. You’ll work cross-functionally with client service, acquisition, retention, and creative teams to ensure our websites are not only beautiful and functional, but fast, efficient, and built to convert.

Why Join Us?

Joining 5280 Brands means helping shape the future of natural wellness. You'll work across a portfolio of high-potential e-commerce brands with real purpose, and you'll do it within a collaborative, high-performing team. We offer a highly competitive compensation package—including equity after just 90 days. This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to build something meaningful while growing your career.

If you’re a developer who thrives at the intersection of code and conversion, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

Website Development & Management

  • Lead the build and launch of three new Shopify e-commerce websites over the next several months.
  • Own and manage updates, maintenance, and improvements for our two existing brand sites.
  • Code and implement landing pages for paid media campaigns, product launches, and promotional events.
  • Design and implement clean, intuitive user interfaces across all pages and templates, ensuring brand consistency and a seamless experience across devices.
  • Manage content updates, product uploads, and page redesigns in coordination with marketing and creative teams.
  • Ensure technical SEO, page speed optimization, and mobile responsiveness across all web properties.
  • Monitor and interpret performance data using GA4, heatmaps (e.g. Hotjar), session recordings, bounce rates, CVR, and funnel drop-offs to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead website A/B testing and experimentation, including page layout, copy, visuals, and CTAs.
  • Partner with the creative, client service, and retention teams to refine user flows and improve on-site customer experience.
  • Build testing roadmaps to validate hypotheses and drive incremental lifts in conversion rate, average order value, and user engagement.
  • Set up and monitor event tracking and goals in analytics platforms to ensure proper measurement of key interactions.
  • Collaborate with the acquisition team to improve landing page quality scores and funnel throughput.
  • Install and maintain pixels and tracking scripts (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.) across all brand sites and landing pages to ensure accurate attribution, retargeting, and event tracking.
  • Stay current with emerging CRO technologies, UX/UI patterns, and Shopify ecosystem updates, including changes to GA4, tracking policies (e.g., iOS updates), Liquid features, speed optimization best practices, and privacy compliance requirements (like GDPR and CCPA) to ensure our web properties remain effective, secure, and future-ready.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the connective tissue between dev, retention, creative, and acquisition teams—ensuring every piece of the web experience is built for performance.
  • Translate marketing goals and customer insights into high-performing digital experiences.

Why We’ll Select You:

Technical Web Experience

  • You bring hands-on experience coding and launching Shopify e-commerce sites, including custom theme development using Liquid, as well as other platforms like Webflow, WordPress, or custom front-end frameworks.
  • You have experience collaborating in Figma-based design systems, translating wireframes and mockups into fully responsive, high-conversion web pages.
  • You understand and implement Liquid templating in Shopify and are familiar with theme customization, Shopify APIs, and third-party app integrations.
  • You’re comfortable using AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT to increase velocity, reduce bugs, and accelerate experimentation—without compromising code quality.
  • You’ve worked with structured data, schema markup, and other SEO-related technical enhancements to boost visibility and search performance.
  • You have strong familiarity with CRO tools like GA4, Hotjar, Lucky Orange, or Microsoft Clarity, and use them to inform data-driven site optimization.

Strategic & Analytical Thinking

  • You’re not just a coder—you understand how technical site performance directly impacts conversion, revenue, and user experience.
  • You’re fluent in key e-commerce performance metrics like CVR (conversion rate), bounce rate, AOV (average order value), page speed/load time, cart abandonment, scroll depth, and funnel drop-off analysis.
  • You know how to extract insights from tools like GA4, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, and session recording software to uncover friction points and opportunities across the customer journey.
  • You’re confident designing and executing A/B and multivariate tests, setting clear hypotheses, and using statistical significance to validate outcomes.
  • You can translate data into clear, actionable recommendations—whether that’s reworking page structure, improving load times, streamlining checkout flows, or optimizing above-the-fold content.
  • You thrive at the intersection of UX, performance, and business goals, and you’re always thinking a step ahead about how to improve the user path to purchase.

Execution-Oriented & Detail-Driven

  • You can scope, build, QA, and launch projects independently with minimal oversight.
  • You take pride in performance, polish, and pushing out fast improvements.
  • You think critically and solve problems creatively under tight deadlines.
  • You can confidently manage multiple web projects, juggle shifting priorities, and keep timelines and stakeholders aligned from planning through QA and deployment.
  • You’re hungry to make an impact—and comfortable being held to performance KPIs.
  • You’re open to feedback, great at collaborating across departments, and know how to align web dev work with business objectives.

Why You’ll Select Us:

  • Fully Remote.
  • Granted company Stock Appreciation Rights after 90 days of employment.
  • Company sponsored healthcare plan (medical, dental, and vision) - 100% of healthcare premium covered by the company (includes 100% dependent/domestic partner coverage).
  • Pet insurance - 100% of the premium covered by the company.
  • Generous retirement plan (401k with 8% company match).
  • Unlimited paid time off upon request and approval.
  • 16 paid company holidays annually.
  • Employees receive free products across our family of brands for personal use.
  • Family and friends discounts on all products.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
  • 6+ years of experience in front-end or full-stack web development, with a strong emphasis on Shopify and other e-commerce platforms such as Webflow, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce.
  • Deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, including Liquid templating, Shopify CLI, theme architecture, custom section development, and API integrations for third-party tools.
  • Proven experience with CRO platforms (e.g., GA4, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, VWO, or Optimizely) and landing page builders like Shogun, Unbounce, or custom-coded solutions.
  • Comfortable working in design-to-code workflows, especially using tools like Figma to implement and refine interactive prototypes, layouts, and responsive page designs.
  • Familiarity with event tracking, tag management (e.g. Google Tag Manager), structured data/schema markup, and technical SEO best practices.
  • Experience collaborating with Klaviyo email teams to ensure seamless site-to-flow integration, proper event firing, and optimal capture of onsite behavior for segmentation and automation.
  • Experience using AI tools for coding, optimization, and troubleshooting is a plus (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar assistants)
  • Bonus points for experience with CPG, DTC, or multi-brand e-commerce environments, particularly those involving rapid deployment cycles, high SKU volumes, or regulated industries.
