Job summary

Aptive is seeking a Web Developer to support the VA NTSP Quality and Data Informatics initiative. You will design, develop, modernize, and maintain SharePoint, Internet, and Intranet sites for VA staff, stakeholders, and Veterans, ensuring accessibility, compliance with VA standards and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of web development experience including design, development, and maintenance of SharePoint and web platforms
• BA/BS degree in CS, IT, Web Development or related field; 3 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for degree
• Experience with federal agencies or government healthcare clients is preferred and VA standards familiarity is a plus
• Ability to obtain/maintain VA PIV credential and pass a VA background investigation as required for system access
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered
• Proficiency with Section 508 accessibility standards and VA Style Guide-aligned content

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modernize, and maintain SharePoint, Internet, and Intranet websites in support of NTSP program operations and VA stakeholder needs
• Conduct website assessments and develop plans, templates, and visual mockups for site development and continuous improvement
• Establish and maintain user groups and access permissions with role-based governance in line with VA security policies
• Prepare content and code in compliance with Section 508 accessibility, VA Style Guide, and copyright/release requirements
• Monitor website performance for accessibility, quality, and SEO, implementing improvements as needed
• Assist in the structured transition of maintenance duties to Government personnel at contract end, including documentation and knowledge transfer
