Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain .NET-based web sites, including AWS-hosted solutions. This 100% telecommute role is open to candidates nationwide in the USA, with core hours typically 8am-5pm Pacific.

You will work with business users to gather requirements, implement secure, scalable web applications, and collaborate with security and IT teams to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with .NET Framework and web app development.
• Experience using GitHub for version control and managing IIS servers.
• Ability to renew/ manage server certificates and SSL/TLS configuration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, test, document, support and maintain websites built on .NET framework per business needs.
• Gather requirements from business users and understand processes.
• Support hosting of the website in AWS cloud across Windows and Linux.
• Write unit and integration tests for customizations.

Your role in our mission

• Design, develop, customize, test, document, support and maintain Web sites build on .NET framework according to business needs.
• Work with business users to gather requirements and understand business processes.
• Support the hosting of the website in AWS cloud environment both in Windows and Linux OS.
• Write unit tests and integration tests for customizations.
• Deploy customizations to test and production environments and familiarity on SQL and MySQL data bases.
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve system‑level issues related to operating systems, networking, storage, permissions, and performance
• Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities through system hardening, patch management, vulnerability scans, and configuration reviews
• Monitor system health, capacity, and availability; proactively investigate recurring issues and recommend corrective actions
• Participate in incident response and post‑incident root cause analysis for infrastructure and security‑related events
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for supported systems
• Collaborate with developers, security teams, and IT stakeholders to support stable, secure, and reliable infrastructure operations
• Escalate complex or high‑risk issues appropriately while owning resolution for standard operational tasks

What we're looking for

Required Experience:

• Tech Stack: .NET Framework
• Experience with GitHub version control, servers and IIS, and renewing server certificates

Desired Experience:

• Familiarity with WordPress
• SQL and Database experience
• AWS Cloud computing, AWS Glue Jobs, S3 bucket
• Healthcare and/or government/state IT projects

What you should expect in this role

• 100% telecommute role - anywhere in the USA. Must work core hours - typically 8am-5pm Pacific time.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required
• Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
