Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Senior Batch Developer (LINUX/C/SQL) to design, develop, test and deploy complex batch applications across server, client and web components. This role offers fully remote work within the United States with potential travel up to 0-10% to support project needs.

You will collaborate with architects and developers to ensure requirements are met, document designs, and contribute to healthcare-focused solutions that improve health outcomes for communities served.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of application development and programming experience.
• Proficiency in C, Linux, job scripts/streams, SQL, and IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS).
• Experience with resolving batch issues and debugging batch code.

Responsabilités

• Head up workstreams to design, develop, test and install complex batch applications.
• Bridge gaps between application architects and developers to ensure design accuracy and ROI.
• Document designs, coding and testing processes for a technical product.
• Apply development and data methodologies and best practices from project leadership.
• Serve as a technical consultant to senior management on complex projects.

Your role in our mission

• Head up workstreams to design, develop, test and install complex applications software that spans server, client and web components


• Help guide closer connections between application architects and developers to ensure design requirements are accurate and deliver a solid ROI for clients


• Show your skill at writing highly complex design, coding and testing documentation to create a technical product that meets client expectations


• Perform vital development, domain, application design, web service and database methodologies, and best practices provided by the project advisor and/or architect


• Serve as a technical consultant to senior management for complex projects — from modifying existing apps to designing new application modules and components

What we're looking for

• 6 or more years of application development and programming experience with C, Linux, job scripts/streams, SQL, and IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS)


• E xperience with resolving cycle abends, and debugging batch code


• S olid SQL/data analysis skills for troubleshooting and validation


• C omfortable supporting production issues, defect analysis, data investigation and end-to-end testing


• Pharmacy or healthcare systems (NCPDP – D.0, EDI transactions, etc) are desired


• E xperience with mainframe (COBOL)or legacy systems is desired

The pay range for this position is $72,800.00 - $104,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
