Job summary

LAC Federal is seeking a Programmer to support web application development, software maintenance, and digital content conversion for a federal library program. You will assist with requirements analysis, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation under the Web Developers.

Preferred tasks include converting media to web-friendly formats, building digital forms, and ensuring Section 508/WCAG accessibility. A security clearance may be required by the federal contract.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of programming/web development or database experience.
• Experience with PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing software, hardware, and system requirements.
• Develop, test, implement, and document software code.
• Translate designs and specifications into functioning programs.
• Prepare test data, validate functionality, and fix issues.
• Coordinate with developers, testers, and reviewers to implement modifications.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing new or enhanced software and hardware.
• Convert media to MP4 or streaming-friendly formats.
• Convert print materials to digital documents and web pages.
• Create electronic forms, assessments, and data collection tools.
• Support website content development and maintenance.
• Review and remediate digital content for accessibility compliance.
• Maintain programming documentation and support system improvements.
