Job summary

LAC Federal is seeking an experienced Web Developer to support the modernization and maintenance of a federal information services website and its technical infrastructure. The role collaborates with government IT teams and library staff to improve functionality, reliability, accessibility, and user experience.

The candidate will maintain web applications, CMSs, hosting environments, and related services, delivering secure, accessible, and efficient digital solutions for federal users.

Qualifications

• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive design.
• Familiarity with Drupal 9+ and Koha library systems.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (508) and WCAG compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and redesign the federal website and associated applications.
• Support Drupal and other content management systems.
• Maintain web servers, hosting environments, and related network services.
• Support Linux, Apache, cloud infrastructure, and database environments.
• Develop and maintain website code, APIs, templates, and user interfaces.
• Design responsive and accessible web experiences.
• Troubleshoot outages and performance issues.
• Recommend system upgrades and enhancements.
• Support accessibility compliance and accessible content across formats.
• Collaborate with government IT personnel and stakeholders.
• Provide system documentation and training.
