Job summary

Partners for Community Development, Inc. is seeking a Weatherization Technician to perform home rehabilitation and weatherization tasks in Milwaukee. The role covers insulation, window/door installation, and energy-saving measures under supervision.

Applicants should have basic math for material estimation, read work orders, and enjoy physical, outdoor work. A Wisconsin driver's license is preferred; on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn operation of weatherization equipment.
• Knowledge of home improvement, carpentry, and/or weatherization techniques.
• Ability and willingness to learn to read and decipher work orders and perform basic math for material estimation.
• Ability to interact well with diverse personalities.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in harsh conditions.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• A valid Wisconsin driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loading and unloading department vehicles.
• Assist with preparation and completion of home repair, weatherization tasks and energy measures.
• Safely operate tools and equipment used on the job.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, tools and materials.
• Respect customers' property and maintain confidentiality.
