Job summary

Energy Resource Center is a Colorado nonprofit focused on improving energy efficiency in homes. We are seeking an Energy Technician to install insulation, seal drafts, and perform related weatherproofing tasks to boost comfort and reduce energy use.

This entry-level role includes field training, a strong safety focus, and opportunities to work on Colorado project sites with a small crew. Ability to lift and work on rooftops is required.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused approach to field work and energy-efficiency tasks.
• OSHA safety standards knowledge and ability to follow instructions.
• Field training provided for entry-level candidates.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Installs insulation in attics, crawlspaces, and walls.
• Seals air leaks using foam, caulk, and related materials.
• Uses diagnostic tools to assess air leakage and safety issues.
• Works on a crew of up to three technicians.
• Performs general remodeling tasks including drywall, framing, and texturing.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good condition.
