Job summary

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold a B.S. in atmospheric sciences or meteorology or related field, with five+ years of applicable experience.
• Ability to compile, test, debug and document applications.
• Experience in HPC environments, Linux, MPI/OpenMP, and large-scale data processing.
• Proficiency with modern programming languages and software development standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the HPC operational suite for weather prediction models in a production environment.
• Migrate existing models to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) HPC environment and ensure reliability.
• Provide 24/7 operational coverage and on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with software developers to implement changes and improve automation.
