Job summary

WHOOP is seeking a Senior Industrial Design Lead in Boston to drive product strategy and execution across next-generation wearable hardware and accessories. You will balance vision with manufacturing realities, shaping form, fit, material, and finish while leading cross-functional teams from concept to mass production.

The role requires a strong aesthetic sense, ergonomic intuition, and a track record of delivering world-class wearable designs that resonate with users and athletes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industrial design experience with consumer electronics, wearables, or technically complex goods.
• Portfolio demonstrating exceptional taste, concept development, design process, prototyping, and production execution.
• Proven experience bringing products from early concept through manufacturing and launch.
• Deep understanding of ergonomics and body-worn products, materials, CMF and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrial design for future WHOOP hardware, bands, accessories, and wearable ecosystems from concept through production.
• Translate user, athlete, member, and market insights into design strategies and differentiated physical experiences.
• Create compelling design concepts through sketching, 3D modeling, prototyping, visualization, and storytelling.
• Drive ergonomic studies, wearability testing, fit analysis, and human factors exploration across body types and use cases.
• Partner with engineering, product, and manufacturing to balance design intent, feasibility, performance, comfort, durability, and cost.
• Lead CMF direction with CMF and Brand partners to reinforce WHOOP design language.
• Build and evolve design systems for hardware and on-body experiences.
